Since its foundation in 1970, the ANI has been conducting research and collaborating on strategic issues for the country. Among the most emblematic are the analysis and recommendations on the development of the national highway system, the detailed study of the energy matrix, the warnings about the risks of precarious high-rise buildings in shantytowns, and environmental control in the modern pulp industry, among others.
The Academy has managed to strengthen its inter-academic ties since its origin as a member of the Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS) for Argentina, in which it participates in meetings, common documents and management activities as a member of the Board of Directors.
